Inventions and new grammar

First, look through the words in Ex.1 p.129 - hope, you're familiar with them.
Then, answer the questions  from Ex. 2a p.129 in writing  and send them to me ( make sure you use the saying or proverb to illustrate your answer)

Unfortunately, there is no track for Ex. 2 p.129, so , here  comes new grammar. The topic is called Adverb Clauses of time.
Watch these two videos - they might be of some help.

After having watched them, go on to work with the rule in our courcebooks - p. 126-127, and then complete Ex. 2 p. 127, Ex. 3 p. 128 

As for the reading, work with Ex. 2 p. 129 -130  9there is no track for us to fill in the missing words , but try to pay attention to the underlined word-combinations.)  and Ex. 4 p. 130-131 - and do Ex. 5 p.131 -you will be asked to learn these word-combinations by heart.

For your homework Ex. 6 p. 131 ( orally - look through the questions and get ready to answer them)
Look through the names of inventions in Ex. 1 p. 132 and learn those ones, which are new for you.

I am still waiting for your answers.Still, the next stage of our work is a new unit . It is called " Inventions and lifestyles" The first step of your work is a set of new words ( p. 122)  - put them into your vocabularies;

• Do Ex. 2 p.121-122 - it is similar to your EIT test - we'll check it 

• Do Ex. 3 p. 122-123 - it has EIT format as well - so, it's useful

• get ready to answer the questions below ( p.123) 

• Look through the set of words ( p. 124)  - these are the names of different kinds of sciences - learn those ones, that don't seem familiar to you

• Do Ex. 2 p. 124 in your cource books. 

• Comlpete Ex.3 and Ex. 4 p. 125 in your cource books.

Let's complete the unit

The next stage of our work is an essay. Have a look at Ex.5 p.114. These tips are to help you to write a for-and-against essay. Before wirting it let's revise the structure of it :

• para 1 - introduction - the idea from the task, paraphrased - try not to ise the same words- change as much as it is possible, wothout loosing the idea

• para 2 - facts that represent one group of arguments ( either for or against - it depends on what side you are going to support - start with the arguments that express the different point of view)

• para 3- facts that represent the opposite idea - that you are most likely to agree with) 

• para 4 - conclusion - the idea that it's up to everyone's to decide in this case, as the topic suggested has both positive and negative aspects ( try not to repeat the words)  

Then do Ex. 1 p.115 and send your answers to me

After that, go on to do Ex. 2 p. 115 and attach your answers as well.

After having done this part, listen to the record and answer the questions.

Finally, read Ex. 4 p.117-118, translate he text and complete the multiple choice test ( p.118)  Write the answers and send them to me. Your works will be checked and marked!

Добрий день, шановні учні 8 класу. Вітаю з успішним проходженням тестування з минулої теми. Сьогодні ми пишемо контрольну роботу за темою: " Електричний заряд. Електричне поле. Електричний струм.". Для того щоб отримати від 7-9 балів, учень повинен розв'язати  задачі рівня 3 (після розв'язання задач рівнів 1 та 2), щоб отримати від 10-12 балів необхідно розв'язати завдання 1,2,3,4 рівня. Написати контрольну роботу в робочому зошиті, сфотографувати та відправити в classroom. Якщо у когось немає можливості приєднатись до classroom виконує в робочому зошиті та зберігає до кінця карантину.
