Before the holiday

I am still waiting for your answers.Still, the next stage of our work is a new unit . It is called " Inventions and lifestyles" The first step of your work is a set of new words ( p. 122)  - put them into your vocabularies;

• Do Ex. 2 p.121-122 - it is similar to your EIT test - we'll check it 

• Do Ex. 3 p. 122-123 - it has EIT format as well - so, it's useful

• get ready to answer the questions below ( p.123) 

• Look through the set of words ( p. 124)  - these are the names of different kinds of sciences - learn those ones, that don't seem familiar to you

• Do Ex. 2 p. 124 in your cource books. 

• Comlpete Ex.3 and Ex. 4 p. 125 in your cource books.

There will be some listening tasks and a set of new grammar next time. Get ready! Have a good hoilday. 

Let's complete the unit

The next stage of our work is an essay. Have a look at Ex.5 p.114. These tips are to help you to write a for-and-against essay. Before wirting it let's revise the structure of it :

• para 1 - introduction - the idea from the task, paraphrased - try not to ise the same words- change as much as it is possible, wothout loosing the idea

• para 2 - facts that represent one group of arguments ( either for or against - it depends on what side you are going to support - start with the arguments that express the different point of view)

• para 3- facts that represent the opposite idea - that you are most likely to agree with) 

• para 4 - conclusion - the idea that it's up to everyone's to decide in this case, as the topic suggested has both positive and negative aspects ( try not to repeat the words)  

Then do Ex. 1 p.115 and send your answers to me

After that, go on to do Ex. 2 p. 115 and attach your answers as well.

After having done this part, listen to the record and answer the questions.

Finally, read Ex. 4 p.117-118, translate he text and complete the multiple choice test ( p.118)  Write the answers and send them to me. Your works will be checked and marked!

• Read Ex. 1 p. 112 and fill in the missing words, type them and attach to your homework
• Rewrite the sentences from Ex. 2 p. 113 and add it to your homework

• deadline - Monday, April the 6th

• the example ( just look through) 
• make up two examples of your own with every verb in your copybooks

Make sura that Ex.17 p.110 is done in a written form in your copybook.  They are going to be checked! Get ready! Good luck!
